The Raj Palace, Jaipur

I felt like true royalty in the incredibly spacious and comfortable rooms that were just a stone's throw away from the old town, offering a serene and peaceful haven once inside the hotel grounds. However, the dark and unacceptable cupboard-like room was a major letdown. The service was truly exceptional, especially with the warm welcome gestures and thoughtful arrangements made for us during our stay. The location was simply stunning, providing a picturesque escape from the hustle and bustle of Jaipur. The dining experience, although excellent with lots of food choices, required a bit more time to savor fully. The facilities were top-notch, offering everything I needed for a memorable stay.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. While the stunning view from my room on the 3rd floor and the large bed were impressive, the room itself felt quite stuffy and hot, leading to a night of poor sleep. The ambiance of what used to be the Queens Suite seemed tired and the lighting was harsh. The service was exceptional, with the F&B department going out of their way to make us feel like royalty, providing a sofa for rest and being both discrete and efficient. The location, steeped in history and grandeur, offered a beautiful and isolated retreat from the hustle and bustle of Jaipur. The dining experience was satisfactory, although the non-Indian options were limited. The facilities were adequate, with no major issues.

The staff goes above and beyond to assist guests, but some may find them pushy when trying to sell personal services. The location is convenient for sightseeing but may feel cramped for some.
